• What is a User Id? Why do I need a User Id when I have a PIN for my folio?

  DSPBR Online provides you a unique “One View” facility to map and view all your folios together, thereby enhancing your convenience.

  To avail this unique “One View” facility, you need to create a unique User Id for login. You can map/add all your folios to your User Id and have a consolidated portfolio view.

• What do I need to create a User Id?

  To create a User Id, you need the following:

  • Folio number,
  • PIN for the folio number

  Once you have the above, you can visit the Create User Id page, enter the details as required and register your User Id immediately.

• What are the various criteria and rules for creating a User Id?

  • Any investor who is having a folio registered with PAN and PIN (sent by DSPBR) can create a User Id.
  • The investor has to necessarily provide one folio number, folio PIN and the PAN registered in the folio apart from few other details.
  • An investor can have only one User Id, as PAN is the mandatory for creating a User Id.
  • One cannot create more than one User Id with a same PAN.
  • Email id while creating a User Id should be the same as the registered email id in the folio.

• How do you Map or Remove folios to your User Id?

  Once the User Id is created, you can login and go to “Map/Remove Folios” Screen. Thereafter enter the folio number and the PIN of the folio that is required to be mapped. Upon successful validation, the folio will be mapped instantly.

  If you wish to remove any of the mapped folios, it can be removed using the same screen. However any one of the folio has to be retained for the purpose of User Id. You cannot remove all the folios mapped to the User Id.

• If you wish to add/map a folio, but do not have a PIN. What should you do?

  You should first apply for PIN for each of the folios that you wish to map under your User Id. You can apply for PIN using the PIN Form (for Existing Investors)

  Upon receipt of the PIN for the folio, you can login and follow the mapping procedure. When Folio No., PIN and PAN match, the system will map the folio to the User Id.

• How many folios can be mapped to a User Id?

  There is no limit, and any number of your folios can be mapped to your User Id.

  However, only those folios can be mapped to a User Id where the first unit holder and PAN is same across all such folios.

  Also, while mapping a folio, you would need the PIN for each of the folios.

• Whose PAN is mandatory to be common while mapping folios?

  PAN of first unit holder should be common across all folios while mapping to a User Id. The PAN of second and third unit holders can be different.

• You have few folios in your name as first unit holder, few in your spouse name as first unit holder and few folios in your child’s name with you as guardian. Can these be mapped in a single User Id?

  Unfortunately this facility is not available, as you will appreciate that each first holder is treated separately and hence we need to treat you and your spouse folios separately.

  Since the folios in your name as first holder and your spouse name as first holder will have different PANs (of yours and your spouse), you cannot map the folios under a single User Id.

  You and your spouse need to have separate User Ids. One User Id for your folios and one User Id for your spouse folios.

  If you have folios in the name of your children and you are the guardian, you can map such folios as your PAN as guardian will be the same.

  To further clarify, folios in the name of your children with your spouse as the guardian, your spouse can map such folios under User Id created by the spouse.

• Can we transact in any folio immediately after mapping it to the User Id?

  Yes. You can transact immediately after mapping the folio.

• How long the User Id will be active? What if, I do not use the User Id for long?

  User Id will not get deactivated at any point in time; however the password will expire after 90 days. The user can change the password as desired when it expires using simple links available on the website.
